Michelin brought a new front tyre and 3 different rear tires. Why 3? Several riders accuse traction problems, probably due to also the new Magneti Marelli electronic (the same for everybody). It seems tricky making work the two things together.
Marquez expected something better, so not that much improvement for him. Honda is the one which accuses more the traction issue. It's enough to remember the overtaking by Lorenzo in the last corner in Mugello.
Lorenzo is satisfied and feels confident on the bike. The new frame and the new fork set allow to push a bit harder improving the lap time, even if he made +0.2 on the qualifying lap time. Approved the new Assen configuration then.
Rossi Is satisfied also by the new Yamaha setup. The rear tyre in particular works better. Eleventh position for him.
