Who's right?

When I saw the "contact" between Marquez and Rossi in Assen 2015 for the first time on live, I immediately thought about an exaggerate move by Valentino. After a deep analysis I think I reached a reasonable point.

The camera in the run-off fools giving the idea that Rossi resisted from external after the overtaking. 

The camera from the helicopter says there was no overtaking at all.

Let's study the thing from on-board.

From Rossi: He braked in the right point, defending well, finding the right line and clean, but then, when he was ready to open the throttle and so the bending was particularly high, the front tyre of Marquez touched his arm and instinctively he raised  the bike cutting the chicane.

From Marquez: He braked lightly late and he found a little space where to get in. He succeeded in a surgical inserting between Rossi and the curb, but his speed was a bit high. He touched Valentino when was still braking and indeed went wide soon after.

In my opinion without the presence of Valentino he probably would go in the gravel. It was a great move if it would be the last corner of Jerez, where both of them dared a overtaking like that. There, in Assen, it wasn't the proper place where to try it.

My question for Marquez after his complaining is: Which would be the alternative scenario? Rossi crashed in the gravel?
